UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Stupidly Expensive eBay Auctions and Amazon ItemsI always like periodically checking this page, as it's basically all the items listed currently on eBay, sorted by highest price first. The current high item is a custom water-powered engine, running for a cool $60-million. What was worse is that they were charging the equivalent of $4 for postage. Of course, eBay now crack down on anything that isn't tangible so there aren't many of those around now.
